Requiem, in its definition means mass for the repose of the souls of the dead. A momentary but powerful declaration of presence as we share grief, we share the understanding that we are not alone and further transcend our familiar understanding of those domains as we seek to recalibrate the metrics of the heart. The sadness of the loss of a loved one may never entirely go away, but remembrance lives on and those memories in our minds shall remain forever.
