This year for the highly anticipated Singapore Art Week, Art Galleries Association Singapore (AGAS) presents its latest Group Show from 14-23 January 2022, featuring 15 of its member galleries.
This year’s exhibition entitled ‘A World at Every Turn’ boasts the artworks of a single artist from each of the participating galleries basing their decisions on the significance of the artists’ artistic practice and their relevance to the contemporary context. The exhibition amalgamates themes and subject matters, demonstrating the evolving visual arts scene.

‘A World at Every Turn’ is the Association’s first Group Show since 2017. Guest Artistic Director and curator states, “embracing the diversity arising from the works featured, the exhibition has been curated around the vision of expressing A World at Every Turn – a statement that simultaneously serves as the exhibition’s title. The title parallels the physical experience of encountering these artworks within the space while espousing the notion of the ‘completeness’ of each work of art in representing the unique perspectives gleaned from being present in the world.” This group exhibition brings the viewers on a visual journey of how each of the 15 artists sees the world in different, unique ways.
AGAS is committed to and celebrates the promotion of art appreciation in the community. It exists to be the voice and representation of member galleries, striving to serve their interests to increase the public’s awareness and valuation of art. In an evolving art landscape such as Singapore, AGAS acts as a vehicle to enhance Singapore’s understanding of the arts and culture.
